When awake, we are attention-paying.
It’s a behavior, and really the only psychological asset we have (consciousness and its objects).
It’s what everyone wants — your undivided attention.
It’s what we want.
Are you paying out for value back? Or wasting your effort?
Do you have forever to find out?
Does forever include right now?
So pay attention. Habitually, but particularly when stressed or not for value.
Protect your ability to keep paying attention (stay calm and clear minded).
And don’t take things personally (or pay attention to THAT when it happens).
Just because you notice something, or believe you do, doesn’t make it about you.
What you are is what you are noticing.
