There is no reward for trying to be changed.
Sobriety, for example, is or is not the case.
Facts, including consequences, follow without concern for wishes, merit or stories.
Nothing that is not already true can be fixed or cured someday soon.
There will not be enough time to do something that is always later.
Later, something else may be true.
But that is not the result of time, or of effort, luck or intentions.
